What type of projects are you willing to take on?
- Of course, due to the limited time creative teams will have to create pieces, we cannot accept requests for huge projects. We will, however, accept applications for logos, brochures, web sites, newsletters, fact sheets, direct mail pieces, promotional videos, etc. If you’re not sure if your project falls under one of these categories, please e-mail us a brief description of what you’re thinking about and we can let you know.
How can I submit my application?
Will we own the designs created for our organization?
- After final edits have been made and approved by your organization, you will receive a disc with all files ready for a professional printer. Feel free to use the design style for other publications that you produce outside of ClockWork.
When finished, can I use the artwork in programs like Word?
- Unless it’s a logo, probably not. The files are created using design industry standard programs like InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.,. Unless you are using these applications, you will not be able to make edits to the files.
Do we have to use the collateral created by ClockWork designer?
- We hope your nonprofit will play an integral role in the planning process with your creative team so the final work is suitable for the needs of your organization. We encourage you to be specific in the information and materials provided to your design team so that they can create collateral that will promote your organizations’ message.
How does it work?
- AIGA Blue Ridge will accept applications from local
501(c)3 organizations until
October 31, 2011.
- AIGA Blue Ridge board members will review applications and select the orgizations for this year. Chosen nonprofit organizations will be notified by November 11, 2011 and will be asked to submit materials to AIGA Blue Ridge byNovember 18, 2011.
- On the day of the event, creative teams, representatives from the nonprofit organizations, and others will come together to see the designs at the unveiling party. That will take place the the Gettysburg Hotel - 1 Lincoln Square, Gettysburg PA on January 27, 2012.
Is my organization qualified to apply?
- We cannot accept applications from schools, churches and government organizations, but we encourage small nonprofits that serve the local community to apply.
When is my organizations’ application due?
- Applications are due by 6pm on Monday, October 31, 2011.
When does the ClockWork event take place?
- The work will take place in design studios, conference rooms and maybe even some living rooms in the weeks leading up to the event. With pride and a few butterflies in our stomach, we’ll display the work at 6:30pm on Friday, January 27, 2012 at the Gettysburg Hotel - 1 Lincoln Square, Gettysburg PA.
What other dates I should be aware of?
- Chosen nonprofits will be announced on Friday, November 11, 2011.
- Chosen nonprofits paperwork due, Friday, November 18, 2011.
Are you able to accept applications after the due date?
- To be fair to those organizations that submitted their applications on time, we will not accept any applications after 6pm on Monday, October 31, 2011.
